This petition was submitted during the 2010-2015 parliament
Rejected petition We the undersigned refuse to vote for our MP in 2015 unless he/she publicly states he/she supports a referendum on the EU BEFORE the 2015 election.
More details
There is very little trust between the Electorate and our elected representatives. It is the common perception that the current group of MPs in Parliament are predominantly in favour of staying within the EU and refuse to acknowledge the right of the Electorate to have a say in this very serious Constitutional matter. Irrespective of the individual's opinion on the EU, it is their right to have their opinions heard one way or another. We, the undersigned demand that MPs should declare themselves personally in favour of a referendum before 2015 else we will NOT vote for them in May, 2015 as they are showing themselves to be uninterested in the views of the Electorate one way or another
