ON 24/7/2019 THE PRIME MINISTER SAID "WE WILL FIX THE CRISIS IN SOCIAL CARE FOR ONCE AND FOR ALL". THE MARK OF A CIVILISED SOCIETY IS THE WAY IT TREATS THE MOST VULNERABLE MEMBERS.MANY OF OUR ELDERS ARE CARED FOR BY STAFF ON ZERO CONTRACTS EARNING LESS THAN £10 PER HOUR. IN THE SOUTHWEST ALONE, 8 OUT OF 16 COUNCILS SPEND LESS PER CAPITA ON SOCIAL CARE THAN IN 2010. WE NEED A NATIONAL CARE SERVICE. AND WE NEED IT NOW.
