The task of conducting medical assessments on former members of the UK armed forces for war pension awards is now conducted by the French multinational company, Atos Healthcare.

This arrangement is totally inappropriate and goes against the military covenant's second principle that ‘special consideration should be given when required, such as to the injured or the bereaved.'

We, the undersigned, call on the Department for Work and Pensions and the Service Personnel and Veterans Agency (SPVA) to stop using Atos Healthcare and revert back to using NHS or UK military doctors for war pension medical assessments.
