Rejected petition Let UK parents in delivery suit have a partner, Or family member during lockdown
For hospitals and government to let UK Parents in the delivery suit to have there partner, Or a family memeber with them during difficult times as they are already such as lockdown.
More details
Parents are already in a difficult position, And when it comes to delivery suit they're then told hard news of facing said such times alone. The stress it causes upon mum's is also too much. Therfore something to reconsider on.
I find it irresponsible that more than four midwife's can be in the room at one time without both parents as I've come to learn this myself as my misses is pregnant with twins.
Already during these hard times of covid-19 parents are denied anyone in the delivery suit. To face hard times alone
This petition was rejected
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
Decisions about visitors are a matter for the NHS, not the Government or House of Commons.
With regard to antenatal appointments, scans, and the birth itself, on 5 June, the NHS’s suspension of hospital visiting was lifted. This means that visiting is now subject to local discretion by trusts and other NHS bodies. You should check with your maternity team and sonography unit for their policy on visitors attending antenatal appointments, including scans.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
