Closed British citizens to be given the legal right to renounce EU citizenship

As part of the Prime Minister’s planned renegotiation of UK membership with the European Union, British citizens who object to EU citizenship being imposed on them by virtue of the Maastricht Treaty 1992 should be given the legal right to renounce EU citizenship without having to renounce their British citizenship as well.
