Stop the burden of examinations on young children and focus efforts on engagement and developing a love of learning by removing all examinations at GCSE level with the exception of English and mathematics (and possibly science). Successful students will pass a school certificate based on participation and the focus on all other subjects will be primarily numeracy and literacy and secondarily the specific subject, e.g. history, economics etc. League tables will be based solely on numeracy and literacy
