Rejected petition Adopt/Sponsor a Dartmoor Pony, instead of culling them!

Rather than selling of the ponies for animal food if they don't sell at the yearly market, or culling then. Couldn't a sponsor/adopt scheme be set up. where people can pay to keep the ponies wild on Dartmoor and outlive their lives there? Sponsorship/Adopt a pony, could be offered to people for £10 a year and the ponies could live out their lives on the moor. They are part of British heritage.
