All new drivers need to undertake a set number of hours of motorway driving before being allowed on them the motorway has become a different animal than driving on A and B roads. It would be to complicated to order everyone to adhere but new drivers and people renewing their licence could be targeted. HGV drivers already drive on the motorway as part of the learning process lets get safe on the motorways
