Rejected petition Stop the proposed Westley Green development from gaining planning permission

A new garden city is proposed at Six Mile Bottom, Cambridgeshire and the surrounding area. 8,500 new houses would be built on 1,350 acres of farmland. We do not want our village to be developed into a town, we chose to live in a quiet rural area, with thriving wildlife and historical buildings.

More details

The increase in traffic and proposed metro link would be detrimental to the wildlife, regardless of the efforts to make this a 'green' town. Many of us, having lived here for decades, would feel pushed out of our homes as it would not be the place we loved and recognised anymore.
