Rejected petition All asthma sufferers on steroid inhalers should receive a Covid-19 vaccination.

The government should include all asthmatics in priority group 6 at risk adult group. This should apply to all asthmatics who use steroid inhalers.

Asthma is a severe debilitating respiratory illness. Each year asthmatics receive a flu vaccine due to the increased risk of pneumonia in the event of catching flu. Covid-19 is a far more fatal respiratory disease than the common cold and yet the government have taken the decision to put asthmatics at risk. This decision should be reversed urgently to stop avoidable deaths.
