Include all asthmatic individuals in priority group 6 for the COVID-19 vaccination. As a serious and chronic respiratory illness they must have priority.
Asthma is a chronic respiratory illness which even when under control can quickly become out of control from a minor infection (e.g. the common cold) or from high pollen counts. Just because a person can control their asthma, they should not be punished.
All asthmatics are given a flu vaccination every year and have yearly check ups at their GP surgery. A person who knows how to take their inhalers/medication & control their asthma still needs to be vaccinated from COVID-19 as a priority.
Why was this petition rejected?
