Rejected petition Make it compulsory for vehicles to stop when they hit a cat.

It is absolutely disgraceful as one of the top pets that the law does not require you to stop for running over a Cat but it does so for Dogs, Cows, Goats, Sheep and Horses! I want this law changed so that no family suffers from finding their beloved pet at the side of the road!

I am not asking for much when I am asking for the law to be changed to have a driver report when the accident has occurred. I am not looking to prosecute anyone I just think the humane thing to do would be inform the Police/Vet when this has occurred. It will give some family’s peace instead of the unknowing.
