Rejected petition Why shoot the wolf's that escaped from Colchester zoo?

Today 26/11/2013 3 wolf's were shot dead after they escaped from Colchester zoo!

The wolf's were scared and found shaking in a hedge but police and zoo staff decided to kill the 3 wolf's instead of darting them because they was classed as 'dangerous' and the dart 'might not work'

wolf's are native to dogs and I don't think if we saw a dog frightened we would shoot it so why were these poor wolf's shoot instead of darted!

I think there should be an inquiry into why this decision they took!
