Rejected petition Make Fri 25th-Mon 28th June a National Bank Holiday to mark the end of Lockdown

The UK Lockdown has affected & separated everyone from each other for over a year, we feel the Government should allow us a one off long weekend to enjoy the end of lockdown & being able to reunite with family and friends.
Possibility of planned street parties during this period?

More details

Everyone in the country has been affected in some way by Covid 19 and the necessary lockdown measures, whether it be losing a loved one, their business, their home or their sanity, it has been a big strain on us all and the economy.
We feel it is only fair to be able to enjoy life going back to normal by purposely promoting reconnection between people, a long weekend would enable us to have the well needed extra time to make up for lost connections with our loved ones.
