Rejected petition Exempt certain types of Euro 5 diesels vehicles From CAZ Tarriffs

The CAZ zone D (clean air zones) excempt euro 6 diesels from paying the charge even through some big engines new ones will probably emit more harm than some euro 5 diesels which where mainly produced between 2012-2014 which are free road tax due to the low emissions are just as clean.

More details

We call on the government to include any euro 5 diesels which don't pay road tax due to there low limits to be excempt from CAZ as there limits are almost euro 6.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Decisions about the specific inclusions and exclusions of clean air zones are the responsibility of local councils, not the UK Government or Parliament.

You could start a petition asking for the Government framework for clean air zones to be amended, to include specific types of euro 5 diesel cars, if that's something that you'd like to happen.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
