Rejected petition Remove smart motorways

Immediatley remove 'Smart motorways' from the UK road network to protect the road users who paid for it.

People are dying for no reason, there is not one single argument in support of smart motorways, they dont work and endanger all road users not just those who are unfortunate enought to break down or have tyre failure. Whoever is in charge of them should be held accountable or at the very least tell us why we need them on the safest parts of the road network. This money should have gone into protecting pedestrians in cities.
