Rejected petition Restrict MP pay rises in line with Public Sector workers.

The Government should agree to restrict pay rises to fall in line with whatever other Public Sector workers are awarded.

Time and again, we hear that the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) has awarded MP's a pay rise over and above that awarded to the majority of Private Sector workers, many of whom are working in challenging conditions and/ or risking life and limb. For the sake of fairness, all Government funded employees should be treated the same.
