The government needs to recognise there is a huge problem of overbreeding horses in the UK , which results in horses being dumped, foals ending up at the slaughterhouse.
There needs to be a register and licence needed for breeders to adhere to, including how many they can breed per year. Also the government needs to do a government scheme to reduce the cost of gelding.
