Rejected petition No Hotel Quarantine for British Nationals, Visiting Critically Ill Family.
The UAE is one of the safest places to live in the world, yet remains red-listed.
Restrictions are preventing nationals, with terminally ill relatives from returning home quickly. In such extenuating circumstances, restrictions should be lifted for Britons in the UAE to travel directly home.
More details
Stop compulsory hotel quarantine for British nationals living in the UAE. Allow these people to be with their families in a time of profound stress, worry and grief. Allow such individuals to provide negative PCR tests pre and post flight and enable them to be at home with their loved ones in an already difficult time. Mandatory hotel stays are not only costly and inhumane, but completely lacking in compassion and a waste of precious time for those affected.

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We're not sure whether you want a quarantine exemption for people travelling from UAE to visit critically ill family members, or for a general exemption for people visiting critically ill family members.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
