This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you are concerned about tax evasion by politicians, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

Sentencing guidelines are produced by the sentencing council, which is independent of the Government or House of Commons, so we cannot accept petitions calling for these guidelines to be changed.

If you want legislation regarding tax evasion to be changed you could start a new petition explaining clearly what changes you would like the Government or Parliament to make.
