Rejected petition Extend RTB to all Housing Association Tenants

Provide a sufficient and in depth update on the plans to roll out the extended VRTB scheme. Including a roll out date and scheme details. In addition confirm if this is a short term or long term goal. Many people are waiting to take advantage of such scheme.

In 2015 the conservative government committed to extend the RTB scheme to assured tenancy of Housing Associations. In 2019 manifesto again they confirmed this would be maintained. There has been two pilot schemes and the findings published in February 2021. Since 2015 things have moved slowly. It’s now time to roll this out to ALL. This will help boost economy and get thousands on the property ladder.
