We call for the Government to consider, inconjunction with the Police Service, ways of delivering the desired improvement in State pension provision without adding to the financial pressures we are facing at a critical time for Policing and Community Safety. The impact of the Bill in its current state for Nottinghamshire will be an additional £3.7m of costs on top of the reduction in grant. All police areas face similar pressures.
