All bicycle holders wishing to use a bicycle on a road will have to ....

1) be 16 and over
2) Attend and pass a cycling proficiency
3) Pay a £10 yearly fee which goes towards road safety campaigns and towards road maintenance .
4) Wear a safety helmet and wear appropriate clothing including high vis jackets.
5) The bike must have appropriate lighting and be in good condition before a bike licence is granted .
6 ) any person without a licence or contravening these regulations will be dealt with by local police and fined as per current driving standards .
