Ruddi's Retreat, Registered Children's Cancer Charity, have been refused planning permission to open a Coffee shop / Wine bar on Manchester Road in Linthwaite where there are many residential properties, takeaway's, shops and a taxi rank already trading
We aim to help various community organisations (specifically carers) by providing emotional and practical support to unpaid / informal carers (who look after people with an illness / long term condition) as well as raising money for the charity. During the day, the charity will provide various services to local people in need of support as well as a pleasant, relaxing Coffee shop environment, which Linthwaite is lacking.
In the evenings it will be a classy wine bar which will also provide business opportunities to the other outlets on the stretch i.e.fast food & taxis.
