To free up housing we should prevent potential landlords from purchasing a house then using the rent to pay the mortgage. if landlords were prevented from charging more than 80% of what the mortgage payments would be on that property. They would then have to fund the purchase themselves.

This should free up housing for purchase and also help reduce the current high house prices.

I suggest all landlords receive 12 months advance notice, before this is brought into law so any landlord who could not afford the mortgage repayments would have time to sell the property.
