Rejected petition Let all the UK vote on IndyRef for Scotland asap.

Rejected on

It should not be for Scotland alone to determine when an IndyRef should take place as Scotland is heavily subsidised by the rest of the UK and all the UK electors should have a vote on whether Scotland becomes independent or not and when the vote takes place.

If SNP claim they should have an IndyRef when they want, it should also be right for the rest of the UK to have a vote on an IndyRef to either keep them in the UK or expel them and when it should take place.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

We can't accept your petition because the decision to leave the Union would be a matter for the people of Scotland based on their consent, rather than by a decision of the UK Government.
