Rejected petition Set up Safe Havens, to combat babies being abandoned, often to die of exposure.

On average 50 newborn babies are abandoned in the U.K. every year, many dying from exposure, one this week being found dead floating in a canal.
Safe Haven schemes/baby boxes allow babies to be surrendered safely.

We have a duty to these children, and to the women who have to live with the consequences of abandoning a newborn to the elements.
