Stop spending our countries money on participating in the Eurovision Song Contest. We have left the EU, we’re one of the top 5 contributors to the show and it’s become entirely political. We the UK tax and TV licence payers should not be funding this

Decisions about the UK's participation in the Eurovision Song Contest is a matter for the BBC, not the Government or House of Commons.

The BBC is an independent body governed by a Royal Charter. Under the terms of that Charter, the BBC is operationally and editorially independent of government and there is no provision for the Government to intervene in the BBC’s day-to-day operations.

This means the Government is not responsible for decisions relating to the Eurovision Song Contest.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
