Rejected petition End bogus Parental Alienation Theory in courts - protect victims & children.

Make it Law to end bogus use of Parental Alienation theory, which used continously from a perpetrator against victims and their children. This use is causing victims and their children who have suffered significant abuse prior to court proceedings to suffer more abuse at the hands of perpetrators.

More details

The Government have an obligation to follow suit with Spain, which has ended the use of Parental Alienation in their courts. This theory has been widely used and destroys families further from the significant abuse they have already suffered by their perpetrators.
Ending this theory - protect victims and make it Law for it not to be used in our courts - protecting victims and children from dating further abuse by their perpetrators.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you are concerned about courts making decisions based on arguments relating to parental alienation, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

When courts are asked to make orders relating to child arrangements, they will consider whether an order is in the best interests of a child, but deciding when an order is in the best interests of a child is a matter for the courts, not the Government or House of Commons.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
