Closed petition Compulsary Young Carers Awareness lessons in all schools
Closed on
Research has proven that 2/3 of Young carers are bullied in schools because of their caring role.
If it was compulsary for all schools to teach pupils about disability and young carers issues from an early age, then it would lead to more compassion, understanding, empathy, tolerance and less bullying.
In an era when it's compulsary for pupils to be taught about equality in so many ways such as racial equality ... why is it not compulsary to teach children about disability and young carers issues?
If young carers were supported in all aspects of education through awareness and understanding from everyone in the school environment then these amazing young people would have a better chance of achieving their full potential which is their right under the UN Rights of a Child!!
