I would like Dr Abbas Khan to be posthumously awarded the highest civilian medal of this country, the George Medal, in recognition of his personal bravery and sacrifice in treating the wounded of the Syrian civil war. The award would also honour all British doctors who are risking their own lives in helping the Syrian people in this brutal war.
