Petition 'Listen to what Local Communities want re Housing Policies.'
More details
Infra-structure must be included in any Planning decisions for Housing Estates.
Taking an 'ostrich'-like attitude will impose more problems on small Communities than it solves. Unless the concerns re lack of employment opportunites and training; lack of G.P.'s and Dentists, poor transport, lack of cultural activities;are addressed
the present carbon copy Estates with a token gesture of 'play areas' are a poor subsitute for real innovative Plans to give a sense of community.
Encouraging more individual 'self-builds' might help too.
Particularly using Ecco friendly materials adding character to different areas and encouraging enterprise.
Governernment must stop imposing their Will upon small towns and villages by dictating unrealistic Housing policies; whilst at the same time saying that they have 'devolved' power to local Communities. No they haven't!
