Rejected petition Teach first aid to our children as part of school curriculum

Teaching first aid to children of all ages starting from when they join nursery with basics such as to call 999 and developing as they grow so that by the time they reach high school age every child in the UK will know and be able to safely perform cpr and emergency first aid

It's a no brainer really why wouldn't this be offered so many children tragically die every year in accidents whilst playing out because paramedics couldn't reach them in time if the children knew how to and were made to feel confident in doing so this could potentially save lives, how many parents/adults become unresponsive whilst only with there child/children needing cpr but the child only knows how to ring 999 or doesn't even know this again children knowing this could potentially save someone's life

The Government's new Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education curriculum requires that all students be taught first aid in primary and secondary schools.
