Rejected petition In light of recent court rulings, stop addressing each other as honourable.

Due to recent court rulings and the fact that ministers and MPs refuse to resign or be sacked we are asking that members not be addressed as hounourable or right honourable.

More details

We are asking Parliament to do this because it is clear not all members are honourable or even close to being honourable, let alone right honourable.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or House of Commons is responsible for.

Decisions about addressing other MPs are a matter for individual MPs and the Speaker, who is responsible for preserving order, not the Government or House of Commons.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
