Rejected petition Licensed travel with a canine under mental health. With regards to UK veterans.

Amend the equality act 2010 to include care dogs which are a support to people who have mental illnesses and other disabilities as they as well as guide dogs should be permitted to travel by any means necessary with there owner as they are a support requirement in some but most aspects.

More details

Most of the British veteran society have some element of mental health. They have acquired some level of support which entails a companion such as a canine . Some individuals rely on medication or psychiatric input weekly and there only means of comfort is there pet. I’m putting this forward as small/medium canines to allow them to travel in a licensed vehicle such as a taxi with their owner legally, without discrimination.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We understand you'd like legal recognition of emotional support animals, but we're not sure if you'd like this just for veterans or for anyone who has a support animal.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
