Petition Remember the Anzacs

More details

This is a petition to encourage the Prime Minister and the Minister for Culture, Media and Sport to honour the enduring and lasting debt this nation owes to the Anzacs and Canadians who fought against tyranny in the Great War.

To have no official plans to commemorate the Anzacs and Canadian Forces sacrifice alongside other commonwealth troops will be a stain on our national character.

Australia saw between 1914-1918 25% of its male population injured or killed in war fought on the other side of the world after responding to the call to arms.

Their heroic endeavours in that conflict should not be forgotten and marginalised. An entire commonwealth of nations heard the calls to arms. In this centenary, an entire commonwealth of nations deserves commemoration.

We urge the Government to honour them all as equals.
