Rejected petition End the private testing that is required to travel in and out of the UK

To scrap private companies being the only providers to prove test results that allow UK residents to travel in and out of the UK.

The UK government are restricting residents to travel in and out of the UK by allowing private test providers to be the ONLY source of covid-19 test results. As UK residents we have access to a free NHS testing service that provides antigen and PCR. We have used the NHS as test providers throughout the pandemic and these have been suffice to confirm whether or not a person has COVID-19. Why must we pay for private testing to fly when we have a free service that provides the same service.
