By the end of March it gets light before 6am across much of the UK and dark at 6:30pm, thus most of the population are sleeping for the first light hour of the day.

The clocks go back less than 2 months before the shortest day but are not moved forward until more than 3 months later. Let's end this and bring everyone out of the winter gloom early. 100,000 sign up & surely all corners of the UK's political spectrum will see the sense in this.
