We oppose the proposal to change the August Bank Holiday to Margaret Thatcher Day.

We suggest instead that the August Bank Holiday is renamed "Charity Day" and promoted as a day when we are encouraged to do something for others, be it on a small scale such as helping someone across the road or on a larger scale such as organising a fund raising event.
