Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you are concerned about misconduct by police officers, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. Decisions by courts about compensation for victims of crime may involve a range of perpetrators, and it's not clear in what instances you want individual police officers to be liable for any compensation.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.

You would need to provide your full, legal name if you want to start a new petition.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
