People are being charged extortionate levels of Council Tax and have no option other than to pay it and go without other necessities.
In Cornwall, the average wage is less than £13,000 a year and the average Council Tax is 11% of that!.
This unfair charge should be means tested to accommodate low pay.
So this petition is requesting that The Government changes the rules to make local councils ensure that the charge is fair for people who work and have low wages.
