Rejected petition Review statutory sick pay and increase it

The current weekly rate of SSP is £96.93 a week, this amount is not sustainable with todays cost of living. With the help of benefits this is still not always enough to live off with, if someone is off sick long term.

With the ever increasing cost of living SSP needs to be brought in line to an amount that would actually be livable. Not all those on SSP have savings to help them cope, not all those on SSP will receive the correct benefits to help them.
