Petition Change the rules on naturalisation.

The government should change policies on granting British citizenship to foreigners. It should be conditional and based on merit. The condition should be that the individual shall obey the law and respect the British way of life. If this agreement has been broken, the individual's citizenship shall be annulled. In terms of merit, the government shall set a criteria for potential citizens. The requirements must be that the individual; has been in the UK for 8 years, has no previous or pending criminal record or caution, can pass the citizenship test, fluent in English and is in full time employment and has been employed for at least 2 years.
