We believe Stoke-on-Trent City Council's alternative route for the second stage of HS2 presents the optimum path of the UK's largest infrastructure project in a generation. The proposal is well evidenced and should be given due regard by the DfT. The alternative would be more financially prudent, less environmentally detrimental and increase the economic benefit to a wider region. We demand the proposal be given proper consideration.
