Rejected petition Make it a criminal offence and outlaw the dumping of raw sewage in rivers

The government must make it illegal for water companies to dump raw sewage in our rivers. It should be a crime to allow such destructive use of our water ways by these commercial enterprises.

The government urgently needs to pass a law to stop immediately the dumping of raw sewage in our waterways. It’s destructive to nature and our beautiful countryside. It’s wrong on so many levels and a violation of government duties to be allowing this to go on.

Why was this petition rejected?

There’s already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
