All reports paid for by public money should be made available for public perusal within 2 weeks of completion, unless national security or police issues are involved; these to be presented to a judge, who can agree publication should be blocked. The power to block publication of reports given to politicians should be removed from those politicians entirely. The taxpayer must be able to see where their money is going.
