The government should not be allowed to sell these bank shares off without full commons oversight, and to sell at a loss (taking inflation into account) must have all party support.

Why? Because as a taxpayer I do not want the banks to profit from our suffering due to their greed! And I do not trust the government not to sell our investments at a loss to gain political points with their corporate supporters.
