Speculators, both domestic and foreign, are the cause of the housing crisis in the UK. There's no shortage of houses, they are simply stock piled by investors as a long term investments, often kept empty.
If people want to speculate on property there are many options Inc retail, commercial, industrial, hospitality etc.
It's wrong that young people can't buy a house because someone else has two.
