The Russian government is endorsing and accepting the torture and abuse of people entirely based on their sexuality. The UK government should make a public statement to reflect public opinion in this country that Russian laws and accepted behaviours regarding sexuality are not acceptable in any civilised country and that this is a form of abuse that should be immediately referred to the United Nations for their consideration.
