Petition Cancel HS2 and spend the money on flood defences
More details
HS2 it coming with a cost of £46.2 billion pounds, while a new high speed line would be nice we need to look at our priority's.
Our dilapidated and ageing Victorian sea defences are inadequate and decaying and in the face of what seems to be a permanent change in the weather we experience in the UK we need to think of what that £46.2 billion pounds could do to defend our coast lines, protect peoples homes and ultimately save peoples lives.
We do not NEED a new high speed rail link, but we DO need massive investment in our flood defences.
